7:30pm Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th July.
Matinee Saturday 28th July at 2pm.

This July, Ranger Productions will be celebrating 50 years of shows at the Mowlem Theatre, Swanage with their production ‘City of Dreams’. Over the years the school has delighted audiences with full scale ballets and performances showcasing all aspects of dance and musical theatre.

This anniversary production is the brainchild of Caroline McCrory, daughter of June Ranger. Act 1 is an original ballet set in 1930s Ireland and New York and tells the story of three young brothers searching for a better life, but who become embroiled in the unsavoury world of The Mob with unexpected consequences. Act 2 stays in New York with numbers from the musicals ‘Matilda’, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, ‘The Greatest Showman’ and more promising something for everyone. With a cast of over 80 pupils past and present and state-of-the-art visual effects tickets are set to sell quickly. Parental guidance advised.

Advisory Notice:  Amid the setting of 1930s’ New York, a replica gun with an audible bang will be fired in the final scene of Act 1.  This is a brief act of violence which we are advising may be unsuitable for young children. Parents are asked to use their discretion before purchasing tickets.
